Dec. 11, Tuesday -- The British "inspectorate" model of school oversight will be the subject of a daylong conference hosted by the UC Davis School of Education and its Center for Applied Policy in Education. The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mondavi Center.
Representatives from the United Kingdom and from school systems in New York and North Carolina that are experimenting with the approach will discuss their experiences. Speakers will include:
